GET RID OF THIS LUGGAGE

Guys, you know what it's like.

It's Friday morning. You've had a long week. You're killing it at work, but you're also trying to make the most of your outside-work life. You wash your face, look in the mirror, and staring back at you are two large pieces of luggage, hanging below your handsome eyes.  We've all been there.

What to do?

We'll tell you, but after we tell you why.

You see, of all the skin on your face, your precious moneymaker, the skin around the eyes is the absolute thinnest. Like really thin. You know how they say that the eyes are a window into your soul? Well, the around-the-eyes is a window into your life. Feeling well-rested? Your eyes usually look great. Burning the candle at both ends? You get dark circles and bags. Allergies and super dryness can also trigger these.

There's more. Over time, this area will start to show the signs of aging first. This is where wrinkles start to introduce themselves, as in, hey, we're in it for the long haul. It's unavoidable, but it can be delayed.

So what can you do?

To solve the daily under-eye issue, there is a product. It's called, basically, an under-eye cream. While we say cream, it could be a Gel or Moisturizer, but they're made for the eye area and usually contain Caffeine to alleviate puffiness and Aloe or Hyaluronic Acid to add some healthy moisture to the area. These tend to work fairly well but are temporary, meaning they work for a few hours to help alleviate the symptoms.

For long-term anti-wrinkle treatments around the eyes, a Retinol eye cream or a product containing Collagen and Ceramides can work to build up the skin around the eyes, which creates a hostile zone for wrinkles. These products are used at bedtime.

The last thing we'll say about this topic is this- everyone has these issues and you're going to be way more aware of it than anyone else will be. So basically, if you do nothing, you'll be fine. If you are self-conscious about it, you may even explore a concealer treatment, which pretty much covers it all up.  Our team and alot of our clients at CONSIGLIERE use concealers- they work very well.
